10月14日是一个爽朗的日子，也是一个美好的日子。因为我们要去秋游了。
一大早，我们在老师的带领下来到秋游的目的地——城市绿谷。走进绿谷，地上整齐摆放着五颜六色的鲜花盆景，争奇斗艳。热情的导游阿姨向我们介绍：城市绿谷的前身是陈氏花园，建于清朝末期，至今已有100年历史，由近代南通著名实业家之一的陈维庸先生所创建，是我市最大的私人花园。绿谷拥有奇树珍木2000多棵，品种有150种之多，参天的香樟和来自珠穆朗玛峰的雪松为鸟类提供了天然的居所。在这个天然氧吧里，呼吸着新鲜空气，欣赏着葱翠的树木，让人心旷神怡。
让我最难忘的景点是——九龙柱。只见一块巨大的石柱上围绕着姿态不一的九条龙，有的张牙舞爪，有的高高的绕着石柱，好像在说：“看我多了不起。”有的头仰长空，正在和云彩说悄悄话呢。九龙柱下面是一个巨大的喷水池，池中有小娃娃骑着鲤鱼的雕像，象征着鲤鱼跳龙门。
我们穿行在花径之间，嬉戏于小河岸边，望着满园秋色，让人留恋。时间过得真快，不知不觉到了中午，我才依依不舍地离开了这美丽的城市绿谷。
