第一次来新学校我的感受The first time I come to the new school
当我第一次走近学校时，我就想：学习是不是一件苦差？
如果是件苦差，你就想，如果你一个星期不上学，呆在家里，你就会觉得自己是多么无奈啊！想想那些工人们，劳累一天，晚上还要上夜班的；想想那些女人们，辛苦了一周，还要在礼拜天去学校上课、学习；想想那些士兵们，摸、爬、打、滚一天，晚上还是课本的捧起的；想想聋、哑、盲的人们，他们又是怎么学习的呢？再想监狱中的囚犯，他们也在读书、写字……
人生有限，我们的读书时间很短，就像流星一样，一闪而过。如果没有珍惜时间，“老大徒伤悲”。读书就像写字，你不练它，它就不好。读书，你不用功，什么也学不会。
在童年里，我们能够为大人做点事，自己非常高兴！

Dear Mr/Mrs/Ms Lin,
I would like to ask for a sick leave for two days from tomorrow.
I just caught a bad cold. The doctor told me to stay at home for two days and have a good rest, so I can’t go to school tomorrow and the day after tomorrow. I hope I can be all right soon.
