在我家的阳台上，放着一个养金鱼的鱼缸。一缸清澈透明的水，躺着两块鹅卵石，一株水草静静地飘浮在水面上。在这让人赏心悦目的环境里，生长着两条寸把长的小金鱼，一条红艳艳的，一条黑乎乎的，可爱极了。
那条红色的小金鱼有一双大的眼睛，这双大眼睛是长在脑袋两侧的。这条小金鱼呀，我管它叫“贪吃”。你不知道，他可能吃呢！每天清早，我给它俩喂食时，这条平时动都懒得动的家伙，居然首先活跃起来。它的嘴一伸，连食带水就把饲料吞了进去，之后，它那弹簧似的嘴再往回一收，再吐出一个个小泡泡，就把食物吞了下去。不到一分钟，它竟吃了五粒了。我总共才给它们喂了六粒，它就吃了五粒。哈哈！它实在太贪吃了。
“好动”是那条纯黑的小金鱼。顾名思义，它十分好动。别说，它还真像个多动症患者呢。它平时总是东游游，西逛逛，鱼缸只有那么一点大，可是它却像是刚来到这儿的样子。对什么都看不够，瞧不完。可是它的进食量很少，每天才吃一粒饲料，却有那么大的活动量，实在叫人惊叹。
“贪吃”与“好动”刚好相反。在平时，“好动”特别活泼，但一到了吃东西时就不肯动了，“贪吃”在平时可以纹丝不动，可一吃东西就狼吞虎咽。所以，看起来“好动”十分精干，“贪吃”却十分乖巧。
有一次，我一不小心，把饲料多喂了几粒“贪吃”立即上前把食物一抢而空，根本不管同伴是否有食物。哎，我无奈地摇了摇头，对这条名符其实的家伙，我实在没有办法。这天中午我放学回家以后，又来看它们。只见那“贪吃”有时在原地摇尾巴，有时在缸里游来游去。我原以为它在逗我，可越看越不像呀！哎呀，它不会是撑着了吧！我一下子慌了神，急得眼泪快流下来，我急急忙忙为它换水，节制它的饮食。后来总算保住了它的命，我也放下心来。从此，我再也不敢多喂它吃的了。
还有一次，我换水的时候，一没留神儿，一块鹅卵石滚下来，正中“好动”尾部，半天不见“好动”在动，我又一次慌了神。立刻对好像一个伤病员似的“好动”做特殊护理。唉！总算从鬼门关那儿捡回一条命。
