1 教學反思及其意義

自上世紀80年代以來,教學反思成為教師教育領域研究的 熱點 。都威在1933年就在他的著作中描述了反思,即一種對於任何信念或假設性的知識,按其所依據的基礎和進一步結論而進行的主動的、持久的、周密的思考。在他看來,反思是引發有目的的探究行為和解決情境問題的有效手段。在1989年,美國心理學家波斯納提出個體成長的公式:經驗+反思=成長。反思對教師專業素質的發

展具有重要意義,因為教師自身素質發展的過程就是自主學習和提高的過程,就是教師的自我反思的過程。教學中的反思也是教師自我提高的有效途徑,反思可以連接其自身經驗和實際的教學行為。通過反思,教師可以發現在教學過程中忽略掉的一些問題,及時採取 措施 補救。

2 教師反思的過程

教學的反思可以貫穿整個教學過程,包括:

(1)觀察(obser-vation);

(2)詮釋(interpretation);

(3)反省(introspection);

(4)質疑(questioning);

(5)取捨(consideration of alternatives);

(6)調試(adaptation of instruction)。

3.2聽課觀摩

傳統大學英語教學模式以教師為中心,依託教材,在此基礎上進行單詞 句子 和課文練習的講解,但是課堂教學效果卻每況愈下,因此,越來越多的教師參與到新的教學模式的討論中來。而學生將自己的英語問題歸結為詞彙量太小,但真實情況卻是課本里學過的詞彙學生根本無法掌握,當教師提及時,學生都能回憶出確實學過該詞彙,但無法轉化為積極詞彙,最明顯的結果就是 作文 中的中式英語以及篇章連接問題。因此,在10年級新生入學時筆者就有計劃的進行寫作訓練。

1作文訓練計劃

大學 英語學習 安排為兩年,第一學期時,主要根據教材課後練習,進行相關段落的寫作練習,筆者抽取一定比例的作文進行批改和課堂評講,重點為段落中的句子關系。第二學期主要進行 記敘文 的寫作訓練,以21世紀大學英語第四單元「the washwoman」 和第七單元兩篇描寫老師的文章「I Became her Target」以及「Firm, Fair and Friendly」為例,要求學生仿寫描寫人的文章;以第二單元課文「Bittersweet Memories」為例,練習如何記敘一件事情。而在課文講解時,側重於 議論文 結構的講解,為下學期考試作文的訓練打下基礎。這學期是第三學期,在12月時學生將參加四級考試,因此這學期作文訓練側重於考試作文,作文訓練周期為兩周,依託網路,進行新形式作文訓練。教師在博客上發布作文要求,在一周內三分之一的同學將自己的習作發布到指定的作文博客上,第二周另外三分之一的同學就句子、文章內容和篇章結構三個方面評論,然後教師再挑選典型問題和範文進行評講。

2作文習作中的典型問題

在幾輪作文練習完成後,學生作文問題主要還是集中在句子,句子關系以及篇章安排上。在此,筆者以近期內一篇學生習作為例,討論典型問題以及解決方法。

2.1小句關系錯誤

相鄰小句之間缺乏邏輯/語義關系或關系微弱

(1)Nowadays,everyone in modern society faces the keen competition .The young have to stand the more and more higher pressurefrom the society and the family. We have better learn how to rece these stresses so as to have a happy life.

這是一篇作文的開頭,學生原意是想遵循普遍—一般原則,但表述的結果確是句子間缺乏邏輯聯系:從現代社會中每個人面臨激烈競爭到年輕人承受越來越多的家庭和社會壓力再到為了幸福生活我們要學會減壓,文字表述中缺乏內在聯系,每個人——年輕人——到我們遵循的還是中文意合的思路,沒有注意到英文形合的特點。在意識到這點後,該學生對本段進行了修改:

(2)Nowadays , young people are under considerable pressure , which affects their lives ,soinstant measures need to be taken.

修改後的句子體現了因果關系,使相鄰小句間關系密切。

2.2邏輯聯系語使用不正確或漏用

(3)One part of them like to go to bar drinking. Though it isn』t a positive method, and will bring harm, people are still crazy about this after one day』s businesses. But there are some people choosing sport to ease.

這幾個句子是正文部分對減壓方式的敘述,作者在闡述去酒吧和做運動這兩種不同的方式時添加了非常主觀的評論,並簡單的用轉折連詞but進行連接,而且從句子數量上看第一種方式的敘述遠多於第二種方式的敘述,其實是違背了文章要求,二者之間並沒有轉折關系。出現此問題的原因在於學生並沒有搞清楚記敘、議論和說明三種不同寫作方法的作用,僅僅是憑借翻譯中文內容來完成習作,忽略了小句關系。

「與上述問題相似的一種情況是,本來連貫的語義單位中夾雜了一個無關的小句,導致語篇前後不連貫。」

2.3句子錯誤

1)結構重復。有的同學只機械的記住一些單詞 短語 ,寫出來的句子符合英語語法,但往往結構或意思重復,違反了英文簡潔的原則

例5中介詞短語作狀語或分詞作狀語擇一即可。該類錯誤在於學生在寫作過程中只注意了語法現象,忽略了英文表達的特點。而在該篇僅120字的作文中,此類錯誤就有四處。

2)「漢語中有大量的重復現象, 常常運用實稱、還原和復說的表達方法, 起到反復強調的作用。而英語用詞力戒重復, 常常用替代、省略和變換的表達方法避免重復。」

非英語專業學生作文訓練的動力往往是四級考試,因此議論型考試作文是學生關注的重點,帶來的問題是學生不會說 故事 ,即無法詳細描述一個人、一件事或如何去做一件事。表現為任何類型的文章都頻繁出現「we think」、 「in my opinion」 和」we should」等主觀性表述。在這篇要求列舉不同減壓方式的文章中,作者主要採用了兩種不同的筆記式方法而不是自己的敘述來說明。

這段作者僅用了一個句子,簡單的列舉了一些減壓方式,根本沒有想到要做更多說明,對於正文部分來說非常薄弱,連帶整篇文章的闡述效果減弱,沒有達到該有的寫作目的。

本文通過一篇作文習作去檢驗有目的的系統作文訓練效果,發現無論是從篇章、小句關系還是句子本身,學生最大的問題在於母語的負遷移。因此,筆者的下步計劃是從單純的寫作訓練轉向中英文 思維方式 區別的訓練,以期改變學生用中文思維來寫英文文章和句子的習慣。而此種現象產生的根本原因在於學生學習英語的最大推動力是四級考試和期末考試成績,其追求的是分數而不是語言的完善。激勵學生英語學習的興趣和創造學生實踐語言的真實環境是解決該問題的根本方法。

大學英語教學反思篇三

中國教育部近年來啟動了大學英語教學改革,其實用為主,聽說領先的原則在大學英語教學和四六級考試的改革中得到了充分體現。與大學英語四六級改革相呼應,我國首套根據教育部2007年頒布的《大學英語課程教學要求》編寫的大學英語教材——《新世紀大學英語系列教材》2010年陸續出版,意味著大學公共英語教材的大變臉。

我們五年制高職今年採用的英語教材就是新世紀系列的《新世紀高職英語》。從教材上看,教學內容難度降低,淡化語法知識而強調聽說,注重實用性。比如:教材中的每一單元都以一個主題(Topic)展開,第一部分讓學生就主題展開討論並進行交流;第二部分是圍繞主題展開的課文,這些課文多事一些發生在學生身邊的問題(college life; friendship; soap operas);第三部分是對課文詞彙鞏固的練習題(Exercises);第四部分簡歸納紹一些基礎語法常識;第五部分發音(這是這套教材改革的創新點和亮點);第六部分閱讀訓練以及第七部分簡單的寫作訓練(greeting cards; application forms; fax)。從內容和結構上看,教材的編輯老師已經很科學的將語言學習本身轉化成了從應用的角度了解學習、生活,學生本應適應這種新的教材而有所學,但這卻不是事實。

尤其對於我們五年制高職的學生來說,學習英語不能只靠教材的科學化,更重要的是找出更適合高職學生的英語教學方法,因材施教。今年10月-12月的骨幹教師培訓中,我聽了華東師范大學鄒為誠教授的《綜合英語》課程培訓,深受啟發,鄒教授認為: 「上好一堂課容易,上好一輩子的課卻很難。」在教學中我們還應該很好地貫徹「五個普世原則」,用新的教學觀念,選新的資料素材,對 傳統 文化 有新的解讀。教學知識的儲備要有積累,有厚度,課堂講解更要有趣味、有智慧、要講究方法,不斷學習,不斷積累,不斷改進,不斷提高,與時俱進才可能講好一堂課、講好一輩子課。鄒教授還指出:語言是教不會的,只能學會!我認為,在教學中,尤其是語言教學中,應該遵循「以學生為中心」的教學理念,讓學生成為學習的和課堂的主體,讓他們主動學會英語。

「以學生為中心」的外語教學是近年來為廣大英語教師廣泛關注的一種教學模式,它強調任何語言教學都應把學習者個人看作是學習的主體,一切教學活動都要以分析和滿足學生的需求為出發點。這種教學模式下的英語課堂是教師與學生共同協作的課堂。學生作為學習的主體,直接參與到教學內容及教學實施手段的決策過程中去。在這種教學模式下,教師不再僅僅是知識的傳授者,而是在不同的教學過程中扮演著不同的角色。

任何一種教學方法和教學模式都不可能完美無缺,它在具體實施過程中必然會受到一些具體條件的影響和制約,會遇到具 體操 作上的問題和困難,會產生一些認識上的不足甚至誤區。為了使「以學生為中心」的教學模式達到最有效的教學效果,我在今後的教學過程中會更加加強自身專業能力,在對「以學生為中心」這一教學理念和方法進行實施的過程中不斷總結,不斷進步,爭取取得更好的教學成果。

大學英語教學反思篇四

今天上午,在國際貿易系11級金融班講授英語精讀課,內容主要是針對大學生聽、說、讀、寫、譯遇到的問題進行講解,我主要給學生講了如何最大限度的對捕獲所聽到的信息進行速記,同時把源語言快速轉化成目 標語 。在譯的過程中,我強調了幾點:

一、做快速英語筆記時的注意事項:

1.聽力筆記應記要點,切忌求記「全」。聽力筆記是記憶的延伸或補充,不應也不必取代記憶。聽力筆記的主要內容是概念、命題、名稱、數字、組織機構和邏輯關系(如大小、先後、正反、上下、升降、因果關系等),筆記單位以表達意群的詞語和符號為主。

2.聽力筆記求快求精,但不可潦草。

3.聽力筆記可使用來源語,也可使用目標語,也可以雙語兼用。只要有利於口譯的准確性和流利性,不必拘泥於某種文字或符號。

二、在對所聽到的資料進行翻譯時,可運用速記符號、雙語結合等方法進行口譯,如:在中國,我們可以縮寫為中國:□C,俄國可以用□R表示。「怎樣記筆記」是個戰術問題。「怎樣記」是一個因人而異的問題,理論上以目標語加符號為宜,如 「powerful country」記作「強□」,「我同意」記作「I√ 」,「觀點,看法一致」記作「⊙ same」,「economic development」記作「經↑」等等。用目標語記錄能夠幫助考生脫離原語的語言外殼,使筆記成為表達的雛形,為表達提供便利。不過理論歸理論,遇到具體情況還應具體處理,完全可以採用自己認為最迅速,最簡短的方法記錄。

一節課下來,學生學到了不少知識,感到受益匪淺。一邊講一邊舉出實例讓學生進行現場翻譯,學生確實掌握了技巧。
