豌豆就是 pea 啦。 那麼 pea 是指裡面一顆一顆的小豆子呢，還是統指「帶莢」的整粒豌豆呢？
Pea 就是一小顆的豌豆，「帶莢的」整粒豌豆可以直接用 peas 表示~ 而豌豆的「莢」叫做 pod。所以如果你記得「嗑瓜子」是 shell the seeds 的話，那麼「剝豌豆」就是 pod the peas。
Peas 圓滾滾的，很可愛。一個pod 里的 peas 長得也都差不多。因此當你想說兩樣東西「一模一樣」（比如兩個朋友非常有默契）， 就可以說 They are two peas in a pod 。

你可以看到， Khubilai knows his beans （對於自己的專業很了解）。對於「專業知識」，應該感謝人家的「竹筒倒豆子」 （ pour beans out of a bamboo tube without holding back ）；但是對於一些隱私，還是盡量別 spill the beans （泄露秘密）。但是怎麼說呢， every bean has its black (金無足赤，豆無純白~），偶爾八卦一下，應該也不為大過吧。
