another與other的區別。
①Some students like English and other students (others) like physics.

other 可以做形容詞，表示其他的，比如other people其他的人。
也可以做代詞，但是做代詞時一般不以原形出現，一般用以"the other"或者以復數形式「others」出現。
others
和some對比使用時, 是「有些」的意思而不是做「其他」講, 如:Some cleaned the windows, others mopped the floor. 有的擦窗戶, 有的擦地板。
the others
是「其餘的」意思, 表示在一個范圍內的其他全部, 如: This dictionary is better than the others. 這本字典比別[其餘]的好。
the other
是其中的「另一個」, 如:Give me the other one; not this one. 給我那一個, 不是這一個。
兩個中的「另一個」是「the other」; 不定數目中的「另一個」是「another」 , 如:This glass is broken. Get me another. 這個杯子壞了, 給我另拿一個來。(在許多杯子中的一個)

any other 剛指其他一切的什麼、、、
another 指另一個，沒有固定的范圍。比如：this dress is dirty,please change another one for me.這件裙子臟了，再給我換一件吧。

either指的兩者中哪個都可以。如：which dress do you want,the yellow one or the blue one? 你想要哪件裙子，黃色的還是藍色的？

few, a few, little, a little
雖然都表示「少」，但
（1）few, a few是可數的, little, a little是不可數的。
（2）a few, a little含肯定意味，few, little含否定意味。這里所謂的「肯定意味」和「否定意味」應該這樣來理解：同樣是半杯水，口渴者會認為：There is little water in the glass. 而不口渴的人則會認為：There is a little water in the glass.

一：
1．few修飾可數名詞復數。
2．few (= not many; hardly any)含否定意義；a few (= some; several; a small
number of) 含肯定意義。
3． not a few = no few = quite a few = a good few = many。
4． 當 few受 every, last, past, next, some, very等詞所修飾時，表示肯定意義，few之前不再有冠詞。如：
In the last few minutes, he checked up his paper again.
It took us some few days to repair the machine.
They are very few in number.
There were too few of them.
He goes to see his grandma every few weeks.
5． 在非正式文體中很少見，一般用或代替，如：
Only a few people attended the meeting.

Little remains to be done about it. (作主語)
A little remains to be done.
Please give me a little. (作賓語)
He knows a little of everything.
There is very / but little time left. (作定語)
Don』t worry; you still have a little time.
1． little修飾不可數名詞，表示「量」。
2． little含否定意義(反義詞：much)；a little含肯定意義(反義詞：none)。
3． 在非正式英語中，一般很少用little，常用not much, only a little來代替，如：
We haven』t got much money / time.
