[About the Pearl River]
The Pearl River is the third longest inland river in China. The name, Pearl River, is a general designation of the Xijiang, the Beijiang and the Dongjiang rivers. Its mainstream ,the 2214-kilometer –long Xijiang River, rises in the mountain in the eastern part of Yunnan Province, flows through Guizhou and Guangxi province, joins the Beijiang River in Guangzhou Province and empties into the South China Sea.The river is so named because there used to be a huge reef in the river through the city of Guangzhou and, after being washed by the water for thousands of years, this reef became very round and smooth and looked just like a pearl glittering under the sunshine.The Pearl River is located in the south, it flows into the South China Sea between Hong Kong and Macau. Its lower reach forms the Pearl River Delta.The Zhujiang River (Pearl River) Delta has a network of rivers, fertile soil, abundant natural resources .The Pearl River is thought to be one of the world's most polluted waterways.

珠江是北江，西江和東江的統稱。其幹流西江發源於雲南省東部山區，流經貴州，廣西到廣東後於北江，東江匯合流入南海，全長2214公里，是中國內陸第三河流。從前，珠江流經廣州的河段有一巨石，此石經千百年流水沖洗後變的渾圓光滑，就像一顆珍珠在陽光下閃閃發光；珠江因此得名。珠江位於南方,它流入在香港和澳門之間的南海。其下游形成珠江三角洲。珠江三角洲有縱橫交錯的河流,肥沃的土地,豐富的自然資源。珠江被認為是世界上污染最嚴重的水域。
不免修。天津財經大學珠江學院從入學就表示四級過不了就拿不了學位證，畢業後需要考PETS三級（公共英語三級）來抵四級，或者托福和雅思。所以天津財經大學珠江學院四級不免修。

The Pearl River is composed of the West, the North, the East Rivers and the Pearl River Delta waterway network. Converging in the Pearl River Delta, the West, the North and the East Rivers are interlaced into a waterway network system with water channels totaling 1 740 km in length, and then empty into the SouthChina Sea through eight outlets namely humen, Jiaomen, Hongqimen, Hengmen, Momen, Jitimen, Hutiaomen and Yamen.
