A policeman told him to stop， but the car went on until it hit a big tree by the road.
“Didn‘t you hear me?” the policeman asked angrily.
“Yes， I did， sir，” said Mr King， “Since it doesn‘t listen to me，can it obey you?”

A friend of mine was fond of drawing horse. He drew the horses very well,but he always began the tail. Now it is the Western rule to begin at the head of the horse, that is why I was surprised. It struck me that it could not really make any difference whether the artist begins at the head or the tail or the belly(肚子) or the foot of the horse, if he really knows his business. And most great artists who really know their business do not follow other people's rule.They make their own rules. Now satellites are helping to forecast(預報)the weather. They are in space, and they can reach any part of the world. The satellites take pictures of the atmosphere(大氣), because this is where the weather forms(形成). They send these pictures to the weather stations. Is there anything more important than health? I don't think so. “Health is the greatest wealth (財富),” wise people say. You can't be good at your studies or work well when you are ill.
If you have a headache, toothache, backache, earache or bad pain in the stomach, if you complain of a bad cough, if you run a high temperature and have a bad cold, or if you suffer from high or low blood pressure (血壓), I think you should go to the doctor.
