Fishing is my favourite sport. I often fish for hours without catching anything. But this does not worry me. Some fishermen are unlucky. Instead of catching fish, they catch old boots and rubbish. I am even less lucky. I never catch anything -- not even old boots. After having spent whole mornings on the river, I always go home with an empty bag. 'You must give up fishing!' my friends say. 'It's a waste of time.' But they don't realize one important thing. I'm not really interested in fishing. I am only interested in sitting in a boat and doing nothing at all!

吳霜說：「自從1998年4月媽媽在常州突然病逝後，曾有
多家影視單位要求我盡快將媽媽的傳奇故事搬上舞台銀屏，但
當時卻被我婉言謝絕了。期間也曾有人寫過我媽媽，但都不成
功。真正熟悉我媽媽的只有我，所以也只有我才能寫好我媽媽，
但我必須讓自己平靜下來才能動筆。」吳霜稱，她是今年6月才
動筆的，到目前為止已完成了2集，估計到今年年底才可全部完
成，計劃寫20集，劇名就叫《新鳳霞傳奇》。

吳霜說，我媽媽的一生就是一個奇跡。她能從舊社會貧民窟
中的一個小丫頭成為新中國的著名藝術家，本身就是奇跡！尤其
是「文革」期間被迫害病殘後，隻字不識的她在爸爸的幫助下自
學寫作，居然寫出了20多本書，而且質量是第一流的，有的文章
被選入中、小學課本。媽媽的一生中充滿了傳奇，直到她去世，
媽媽也不知道她的生身父母是誰。我寫《新鳳霞傳奇》不會寫成
流水賬式，更不會資料化，而是尊重歷史，要故事化，因而有商
業性。吳霜直言不諱地說，我認為好的藝術品首先應該有藝術性，
同時亦具備商業性，否則就難以讓廣大觀眾接受。我對這部長篇
電視劇充滿了信心。

出身於戲劇世家的吳霜早年畢業於中央音樂學院，是位花腔
女高音歌唱家，後留美6年學習西樂，幾年前回國後連續創作了喜
劇光明三部曲：其中的《別為你的相貌發愁》、《女人漂亮》上演
後反響強烈，好評如潮，第三部喜劇《父女驚魂》已准備就緒，即
