一、教材分析
Would you mind keeping your voice down? 是(中國)課程教材研究所、英語課程教材研究中心與(美國)湯姆森學習出版集團合編的九年級義務教育課程標准實驗教科書英語新目標 Go for it ! Students,Book 八年級下冊Unit7的一篇閱讀課文。是對整個單元的升華。在前幾節課中學生學習了用Would you mind??有禮貌地對別人發出請求.。本節課通過文章進一步加深對有禮貌請求的句式的理解和在生活中的具體運用。同時通過對中西方禮節的對比和描述,使同學們認識到禮節在日常生活中的重要性。千萬不要忘記「有禮貌地發出請求」。進一步提高學生聽、說、讀、寫的綜合素質能力。
本節課主要是通過「以學生為中心,教師為輔導」的教學原則(Learner -centered , teacher – assisted ),通過任務型教學( task-based learning )創造性地使用英語。在「學中用,用中學」,從而培養學生的文明禮儀,以禮待人的優良品質。通過對本節課的學習後,學生會自然而然地感到英語學習並非是空中樓閣,而是實實在在可以用他來提高我們的自身素質,增強我們交際能力的科目。
二、教學對象分析
初中二年級學生有了一定的英語知識,求知慾也很強。所以本節課採用「把課堂還給學生」,「學生自學為主,教師為輔 」的教學指導思想,並通過網路搜集到一些學生感興趣的圖畫及動畫材料。這樣學生的學習興趣會大大提高。
三、教學目標分析
(一)語言技能目標
1、能連貫流暢地朗讀課文。
2、能從文章中找出有關信息,理解大意。
(二)語言知識目標
1、詞彙(聽、說、讀、寫)

1、了解中西方禮節的不同與相同,從而加深對中西方文化的理解。
2.培養學生的人際交往能力和社會意識。讓學生產生為提高全體國民的素質添磚加瓦的願望。
四、教學方法設計
1、獨立分析與小組合作相結合。

3、情景激勵。
五、教學設計的指導思想
利用任務型及合作式、以教師為輔,學生為主的教學原則,使學生在小組學習中獲取信息、處理信息和運用信息,激發學生運用所學語言進行交際的願望和自信心,促進合作精神和文化意識的發展。
六、媒體設計思路
教師本著「課件服務於教學,提高學生學習興趣,有效課堂」的原則在課前,從星沙英語網及人教出版社下載有關Unit7 的部分圖像,圖片資料。給人生動、活潑、耳目一新的感覺,變「死」的知識為活生生的聲音及圖片信息,增加了學生學習英語的興趣。並通過電子屏幕把本節課教學目標,重點難點,展示給學生,讓學生上課時心中有數,指導學生如何去做。對於學生來說,在情節中學習可以學會如何合作交流,自主學習,從而調動學生學習英語的積極性,趣味性。

我說課的'題目是初中英語第三冊第50課,本課為口語閱讀課,整個說課我將分三部分進行講述,即教材分析、教學環節的設計、教學程序。
一、教材分析
(一)教材的地位和作用:
第50課以詳實准確的數據圍繞本單元的中心話題----當代人類最關注的人口問題,對學生進行了深刻的人口教育,不僅在本單元占據主導地位也是訓練學生口語表達能力的良好素材。根據新課標對學生交際能力的培養尤其對學生口語及閱讀能力的要求不斷提高,以及我校要突出英語優勢打造楓葉品牌的實際情況,我將本課設計為一堂口語閱讀課。
(二)教學目標的確立和依據
為了不僅要完成正常的教學任務,還要有效地培養學生的創新精神和實踐能力,確定如下教學目標:
1、知識目標: 熟練掌握數詞的表達法。
2、能力目標:
a.有效提高閱讀速度和理解材料的准確度
b.能自如表達本課重點話題人口增長問題。
c.能靈活運用所學知識並展開豐富地想像力流暢地表達其他相關內容。
3、情感目標:
通過一些有力地事實、數據和圖片使學生深刻地認識到人口問題的嚴重性,使他們意識到我們只有一個地球愛護我們的家園人人有責!
(三)重點和難點
1、重點:根據新課程標准對閱讀能力的要求,我確定本課重點為提高學生快速閱讀的水平。我採用英語趣味i教學法,採取圖片導入、方法解析和逐步檢驗的方法使其掌握快速閱讀的技巧。
2、難點:口語水平的提高。我班的學生都來自公立學校,長期以來,傳統的外語教學注重書本知識的講授,忽視交際能力的培養使許多學生不敢開口、羞於在人前表達因而口語薄弱。我通過創設引人入勝的情境和師生共同討論、記者采訪專家等新穎方式,以及不斷鼓勵的方法突破難點。
二、教學環節的設計
學生具有無限的潛力,需要教師適時、適當地引導。本節課中我尤其側重訓練學生通過合作探索來獲取知識的過程,並注重改變學生以往的學習方式,通過設計有效問題激發學生的興趣使他們始終處於主動尋求知識去學習而不是被動地接受知識的狀態。我充分放手讓學生發揮其主體地位使其真正成為課堂的主人,本節課我講解的時間不超過五分鍾。
國家新課程標准特別強調了要由過去只注重知識的傳授結果向注重知識發展及知識的傳授過程而轉換。課前我給學生布置了預習作業,讓他們查找相關的資料,學生在預習中就接觸了大量的信息,他們必須具有相應的選擇能力和重組知識,構建知識網路的能力,這恰恰正是新課程標準的要求.
三、.教學程序
1、課前對話:
師生問候之後,讓學生兩人一組圍繞數字進行自由對話。每天3-5分鍾口語練習時為了提高學生的交際能力,新課標指出口語是在人與人交流時即興脫口而出的,會話雙方都必須對聽到的語言快速做出反應,才能使談話繼續。同時由於口語具有很強的交互性,合作學習
的成效對口語水平的提高至關重要。這些都要求為學生的口語學習創造必要的條件,提供良好的訓練。
兩人一組是為了每個學生都有足夠的機會去說,而數字的表達法是本單元的知識要點,我可以提示學生討論一些世界之最,如珠穆朗瑪峰的高度、亞馬遜河的長度、馬里亞納海溝的深度、南極冰川的後度、中國人口的總數、伊拉克戰爭的時間等等,這些既豐富了學生的知識,又達到了對數字表達法的鞏固。
給學生展示這樣兩幅圖片:
一個平衡的杠桿上,一些人在左,我們的地球在右;第二張圖上左邊新增的人使杠桿不再平衡。之後問學生:看了這兩幅圖,你會想到什麼?又是什麼引發了這個問題?學生會表達一些自己的見解,這時不論他們的見解是否正確都要給與鼓勵和表揚,然後問學生:是否知道每一天每小時每分鍾每秒鍾全世界會新增加多少人口?學生會很有探究答案的慾望,這時很自然地讓學生打開書去閱讀50課的文章STANGDING ROOM ONLY 並找出我給出的這張表格的答案。由於本課是以大量數據為主反映人口問題的,因此如果學生能順利完成此表,那麼全文的重點內容就迎刃而解了。而且我認為採用圖片導入法遠比直接讓學生翻書閱讀更能激發學生的興趣使其由被動學習變為主動獲取知識。
3、拓展與鞏固
通過講解我指導學生快速閱讀的方法,如猜詞悟意法、略讀掃讀法、找中心句和關鍵詞等方法,之後要檢驗一下學生是否掌握此方法,於是我問學生世界人口的持續增長會引發那些嚴重問題呢?在學生發表一些個人看法後為,我再給學生一篇文章進行快速閱讀,這也是本節課的課堂檢測,我會當堂進行面批面改。然後對於這篇關於人口急速增長帶來的一些後果的文章,我讓學生來進行講解,這樣可以了解學生的閱讀現狀和存在的問題。
4.合作與發展
接下來我會通過多媒體展示給學生一組關於由於人口太多而導致資源匱乏、污染嚴重、食品短缺、空間擁擠等的圖片,看著這些圖片問學生:你們對哪一方面感觸最深?你還想到了其他那些方面?想不想了解其他同學的想法?又想不想知道在座老師們的看法?以這種方式充分把學生們的積極性調動起來後將其分成6個小組,先組內討論發表個人見解然後鼓勵他們去采訪在場聽課的英語老師。這樣設計的目的是(1)先讓學生自行討論可以避免受教師的想法所局限沒有自己的見解。(2)采訪老師既可以讓學生能夠用英語去實際交流,達到學以致用。有可以讓學生從英語教師那裡獲得更多信息和掌握更多的英語表達方式(事實上,有些表達如果讓他們完全國獨立進行是有些難度的),有由於這樣的學習方式平時機會不多,因此會讓學生感到很新鮮很有趣味性,在與老師交流時也會讓學生產生成就感。(3)我認為學生合作精神的培養尤為重要,學生通過這一環節既能夠有自主學習的機會有鍛煉了與他人的合作,並在探索中有其個性思維發散的空間。
5、交流與分享
讓學生推選各組代表組成專家團坐在教室前,選一名同學以記者的身份采訪「專家們」,使其把個小組的討論結果與大家交流共享,其小組成員可以作為後援團補充些觀點,這樣既可以使口語較好的同學有更多的機會展示起到拔高作用,又可以讓口語較弱的學生也有參與的機會並能向他人學習。最後按事實豐富、語言准確、表述清晰程度評出最權威專家和最積極後援團,通過這種方式可讓學生有很強的集體榮譽感。
6、最後一個環節是作業,當學生慷慨激昂地探討完這些現狀後,我會問他們,面對這種現狀,我們能做些什麼呢?以此為題寫一篇作文。我布置這項作業的依據是新課標的要求。新課標指出:寫作需有明確的動機和積極的態度,寫作的題目應結合學生的實際需要,是他們具有寫作的願望這樣他們才能了與寫作才能重返自己的思維能力,而不是為了應付教師而做的作業。

Bus Driver and Passengers Save an Old Man
At 9:00 a.m. yesterday, bus No. 26 was going along Zhonghua Road when the driver saw an old man lying on the side of the road. A woman was next to him, shouting for help.
The bus driver, 24-year-old Wang Ping, stopped the bus without thinking twice. He got off and asked the woman what happened. She said that the man had a heart problem and should go to the hospital. Mr. Wang knew he had to act quickly. He told the passengers that he must take the man to the hospital. He expected most or all of the passengers to get off and wait for the next bus.
But to his surprise, they all agreed to go with him. Some passengers helped Mr. Wang to move the man ona the bus.
Thanks to Mr. Wang and the passengers, the doctors saved the man in time. "銷檔It's sad that many people don't want to help others because they don‟t want any trouble," says one passenger. "But the driver didn't think about himself. He only thought about saving a life."

He Lost His Arm But Is Still Climbing
Aron Ralston is an American man who is interested in mountain climbing. As a mountain climber, Aron is used to taking risks. This is one of the exciting things about doing dangerous sports. There were many times when Aron almost lost his life because of accidents. On April 26, 2003, he found himself in a very dangerous situation when climbing in Utah
On that day, Aron's arm was caught under a 2,000-kilo rock that fell on him when he was climbing by himself in the mountains. Because he could not free his arm, he stayed there for five days and hoped that someone would find him. But when his water ran out, he knew that he would have to do something to save his own life. He was not ready to die that day. So he used his knife to cut off half his right arm. Then, with his left arm, he bandaged himself so that he would not lose too much blood. After that, he climbed down the mountain to find help.
After losing his arm, he wrote a book called Between a Rock and a Hard Place. This means being in a difficult situation that you cannot seem to get out of. Mario Green and Mary Brown from Riverside High School give up several hours each week to help others.
Mario loves animals and wants to be an animal doctor. He volunteers at an animal hospital every Saturday morning. Mario believes it can help him to get his future dream job. 「 It' s hard work , 」 he says , 「but I want to learn more about how to care for animals . I get such a strong feeling of satisfaction when I see the animals get better and the look of joy on their owners' faces.」
Mary is a book lover. She could read by herself at the age of four. Teaching high school students in a poor mountain village in Gansu Province may not sound like fun to you. However, it changed the life of Yang Lei from Beijing. The Peking University graate first went there as a volunteer on a one-year program. The program was started by the Ministry of Ecation and the Chinese Young pioneers. Every year they send 100 volunteers to teach in China』s rural areas.
Life in the mountains was a new experience for Yang Lei. Her village was 2,000 meters above sea level, and at first the thin air made her feel sick. The food was very simple----teachers ate porridge three times a day. Fortunately, Yang Lei』s mother __agreed___ with her. She said that both she and her husband thought this was a good idea. 「 people today need to experience __different___ things,」 she said.
Most of the pupils live in school dormitories. They work very hard. They get up at 5am and read books until 11pm. Hometown Feelings
Some people still live in their hometown. However, others may only see it once or twice a year. Nowadays, millions of Chinese leave the countryside to search for work in the cities.
