要學好寫英語短文，就必須經常練習寫作。記日記是提高書面表達能力的有效方法之一。日記是每日生活的記載，是一種記事文體。
一、日記的格式

1.首段引人：
盡自己最大的可能使得第一自然段引人入勝，做到「語不驚人誓不休」。要想做到這一點，就要求學生要大量地閱讀課外書籍，包括中文和英文，做到知識面寬泛，觀點靈活，寫技高超。
