一、創設環境
在小學高年級學生眼裡,寫作課是「恐怖」的,他們無從下筆,擔心寫得不好會受到批評。作為英語教師,應認識到這一點,建設良好積極的班級文化,營造輕松愉悅的課堂環境。讓學生在寫作課上不再畏懼,而是放鬆情緒勇敢面對,把寫作當成一件趣事來做,最好能把寫作滲透到日常教學中。例如課前與學生閑聊,教師可誇贊學生的衣服漂亮,「Your
dress is so beautiful today」,學生會自然而然地回答「Thank you」.然後加以引導:「How do you
think my clothes

二、資源利用
現代小學英語教材多配有教學光碟,而且多媒體方式也較為流行,應充分利用這些資源。教師可以在課堂上把這些材料充分運用到課堂教學中。
案例一:在6A Project 2《Reuse and recycle》中,會學到些新詞彙,如「poster」、「with your...」等。教師可利用多媒體,以組圖或漫畫的形式講述一段小故事。

holiday》板塊為例,假期會經歷很多事情,有些學生覺得每天都是重復的,沒什麼可寫;有學生覺得事情太多而寫不完。教師應教會他們選擇一兩件事,從不同角度分析。在平時練習中,因為小學生的活動范圍大都在學校和家庭之間,選材要盡量以這兩方面為主,以免不切實際。
四、多加鼓勵
教師在寫作課堂評價時,應秉著循序漸進的態度,對學生要求不能太過嚴格。對於優秀生和精彩文章要表揚鼓勵,但當學生犯錯,或者出彩點較少時,更應予以引導和鼓勵。在某次寫作中,有學生寫交通方式時,誤將「on
foot」寫成「by
foot」,雖然是明顯的錯誤,但教師需耐心指出,並找出文章其他出彩的地方,讓學生有成功感。否則,學生極易因此而害怕犯錯,進而害怕英語寫作。在課堂上,可當眾朗讀一些比較優秀的文章。或辦一個英語作文園地,將學生的作文收錄其中。也可以把全體同學的精彩作文訂成作文集,在內部傳閱,形成良性競爭,激發學生鬥志。這樣,不少人都會在課下加強積累,並勤加練習。學生的潛力是巨大的,關鍵在於教師是否能通過有效途徑進行挖掘。
五、豐富批改
在批改方面,可以採取先改後批和批改結合兩種形式;前者是將學生們劃分為幾個小組,互相批改,每一個學生在小組內部將自己的作文給大聲朗讀出來,其他學生聽過之後需要提出修改意見,然後學生自己修改文章,老師最後進行批閱即可。通過互改,學生們的習作可以得到有效完善,在這個過程中,學生之間也充滿了互動和交流,將學生的長處給充分發揮出來,並且有效結合了自主學習和合作學習。其次,教師不能面面俱到的批改學生英語作文,如果學生基礎較差,教師可以直接修改,而部分錯誤是可以自行更改的,教師就可以將錯誤提示出來,然後由學生進行修改。這些錯誤經過學生自行訂正,將會大大降低再次出錯的幾率。
總之,寫作是小學英語教學中的重點,同時也是難點。要想提高學生寫作水平,首先要培養他們對英語寫作的興趣。營造寬松的環境是大前提,同時要學會利用手中資源,而寫作與生活密不可分,教師在教學中還要多多鼓勵,盡快使學生寫作水平有所改善。
