『壹』 英文作文 lectures and discussions

There are two main styles of teaching in university nowadays which are Lectures and Disccusions. A lecture consists of usually one lecturer and a large group of students. The lecturer can make use of various multi media tools such as projector which projects the image on his computer to a large screen. Students in lecture very seldom gets chance to speak to the lecturer personally or ask questions ring lesson. Lecture maximises the efficiency of the limited number of teachers in the university, as more students are taught on the same time. Discussions are made up of one or more teacher with a small group of students, and there are many opportunities for students to communicate with the teacher personally or in a small group, and this will greatly help the students in understanding various issues of the topics/ Even though lecture allows the school to maximise the efficiency of teachers and resources, but i still prefer discussions as a way of teaching. This is because lecture makes students become very passive learners and many time they could not understand certain problems on their own, but discussions can relieve the worries of the students as many problems can be solved ring the period. So on my perspective as a student, I prefer discussions.

Not
only

amount

large
,but
also
the
kind

lecture
is
very
wide.For
example
the
general
lecture
is
about
physics,chemistry,math,English
as
well.The
science
lecture
is
only
a
small
part
of
the
lecture
of
university.
The
most
popular
lecture
is
about
exam
such
as
4
level
of
English
text
and
so
on.When
the
lecture
about
exam
coming,there
are
many
students
sit
in
hall
early.They
all
take
care
of
their
exam,so
do
I.
As
far
as
I
am
concerned,the
lecture
of
university
can
make
our
life
of
university
more
and
more
wonderful.It
give
us
knowledge
and
power.The
most
important
thing
is
that
the
lecture
make
our
life
clearer
!
