不同於我們中文表述用的萬進制，英文是千進制來看的，從小到大是千thousand，百萬million，十億billion。一般到十億也就夠了。每個千分位中間的百跟十之間要加and。
比如說2,345,678.09.
其中2是million，就寫two million, 千分位不加and，
然後說three hundred （注意百後面如果有十、個位要加and） and forty-five，然後加thousand
後邊再說six hundred and seventy-eight。如果是整數，到這里就完事了。後邊可以加only，結束。
但是後邊還有兩位小數，一般表示錢的話，我們用分cents。 這里是and nine cents。
整合起來：two million three hundred and forty-five thousand six hundred and seventy-eight and nine cents.
這里有一地方不同於以上規則要注意，如果千分位後邊百位數是0，比如5,078.00 這個千分位後要加and。也就是five thousand and seventy-eight only.
再舉例：2,300,608.00 two million three hundred thousand six hundred and eight only
