第一次來新學校我的感受The first time I come to the new school
當我第一次走近學校時，我就想：學習是不是一件苦差？
如果是件苦差，你就想，如果你一個星期不上學，呆在家裡，你就會覺得自己是多麼無奈啊！想想那些工人們，勞累一天，晚上還要上夜班的；想想那些女人們，辛苦了一周，還要在禮拜天去學校上課、學習；想想那些士兵們，摸、爬、打、滾一天，晚上還是課本的捧起的；想想聾、啞、盲的人們，他們又是怎麼學習的呢？再想監獄中的囚犯，他們也在讀書、寫字……
人生有限，我們的讀書時間很短，就像流星一樣，一閃而過。如果沒有珍惜時間，「老大徒傷悲」。讀書就像寫字，你不練它，它就不好。讀書，你不用功，什麼也學不會。
在童年裡，我們能夠為大人做點事，自己非常高興！

Note for Sick Leave
Dear Mr/Mrs/Ms Lin,
I would like to ask for a sick leave for two days from tomorrow.
I just caught a bad cold. The doctor told me to stay at home for two days and have a good rest, so I can』t go to school tomorrow and the day after tomorrow. I hope I can be all right soon.
