Halloween
Halloween is an autumn holiday that Americans celebrate every year. It means "holy evening," and it comes every October 31, the evening before All Saints' Day. However, it is not really a church holiday, it is a holiday for children mainly.
Every autumn, when the vegetables are ready to eat, children pick large orange pumpkins. Then they cut faces in the pumpkins and put a burning candle inside. It looks as if there were a person looking out of the pumpkin! These lights are called jack-o'-lanterns, which means "Jack of the lantern".
The children also put on strange masks and frightening costumes every Halloween. Some children paint their faces to look like monsters. Then they carry boxes or bags from house to house. Every time they come to a new house, they say,"Trick or treat! Money or eat!" The grown-ups put treat-money or candy in their bags.
Not only children, but most grown-ups also love Halloween and Halloween parties because on this day,they can disguise themselves as personages or ghost as their imaginations will lead them. This bring them the satisfaction of being young.

萬聖節前夕是美國人年年都會慶祝的秋季節日。它的意思是「神聖的夜晚」，在每年的10月31日，也就是萬聖節前夜。但實際上這不是一個真正的宗教節日，而主要是孩子們的節日。

不僅孩子，許多成年人也喜歡萬聖節前夕和萬聖節前夕晚會。因為這一天他們可以根據自己的想像把自己裝扮成名流或幽靈。這會帶給他們年輕的快感。

英語節我參與我快樂

哈哈，盼星星，盼月亮，終於盼來了我們學校的英語節。我為什麼這么高興呢？那是因為英語節與其他節日不一樣。我敢毫不誇張地說：英語節在章貢區所有的小學里，只有我們厚德外國語學校才有這個節日，它獨一無二，別具一格，是章貢區的一道亮麗的風景線。

就拿這次英語節來說吧！老師早早地把這個消息告訴了我們，老師說這次英語節有兩個方面的內容：一個是表演節目，一個是跳蚤市場，兩個內容都必須用英語來表達。根據老師的要求，同學們三人一群，五人一夥地開始籌備起各自的節目來了。

我和張俊偉、李詩松、林彥朴、劉長風、溫鵬飛一共六人，我們一起編排了一個《彼得與狼》的節目，我在劇中扮演小貓，李詩松扮演小鳥，林彥朴扮演鴨子，劉長風扮演狼，溫鵬飛扮演爺爺，張浚偉扮演彼得和獵人。這個節日，劇本是我們自己找的，自己翻譯的，也是自己導演的。我們用了無數個午休時間，反反復復，一次又一次的精益求精地排練，最後，功夫不負有心人，終於，我們這個節目在英語節中獲得了一等獎，當我們得知自己的節目獲獎時，大家都歡呼雀躍，興奮不已，充分感受到英語節獨有的韻味，陶醉在節日的喜悅中。
歡樂的英語節

這一周，我們學校舉行了一學期一度的英語節。每天都要通過3關或者2關才能進學校，早上有2關（有的時候1關），下午進學校又要過一關。

第一天的早上，我來到學校。剛到門口，突然門口的一個人把我攔住了。並說：「想進去嗎，先過我這一關。

我仔細看了看他，在他掛在喉嚨底下的牌子上寫著：英語小明星。我這才知道要舉行英語節。便等待他的問題，他猛然間說了一句：「Hi！」嘻嘻，他把我當誰了，我隨聲應到：「Hi！」他又接著問：「Howareyou？」這可是我最熟的問題了。我回答道：「I』m fine，Thank you！」他最後問了一句：「What』syouname？」我跟著說：「My name is siwei，chen。」他只好認輸，說：「Comeplase。」我輕輕鬆鬆地通過了第一關，接著就進入第2關。那人開始就問我：「Nice to meet to you。」這不是很早就學過了嗎？我應聲道：「Nice to meet you。」正在我得意忘形的時候，她問：「Howdoyoudo？」糟了，這個我可忘記了，該怎麼回答呢？我思索了半天，最後還是退回去了。我去問了問其他的同學，原來只要跟著她讀就行了。這次我吸取了教訓，過了第二句。她再問：「When do you get up？」我快速地說：「I get up at six in the morning。」又過了最後一句。

我覺得開展英語節是一個很好的活動，這樣有利於我們學習英語的。希望學校以後多多開展像這樣的活動。
快樂之英語節

早上，上完三節課後，我們全班同學背著椅子，搬著桌子，朝我們的目的地，也是我們的販賣點走去，我們的買賣集合區位於操場上的一棵大榕樹附近，來到那，便開始「安營紮寨」，打扮景物，沒一會，原本空盪盪的跑道已擺滿了桌椅，空虛的大榕樹已是花枝招展，這所做的一切都是為了下午的活動。

下午，我飛速來到了學校，一看鍾，才二點，心想：我肯定來得最早。來到操場，出乎我的預料，操場上已是人山人海，見此情景，我只得趕到「大部隊」的「根據地」，在本次活動中，我任「policeman」之職，所謂是新官上任三把火呀，我活像一隻泥鰍在「顧客」群中轉來轉去，一會兒維持秩序，一會兒幫人「推銷產品」，其它職位的人員也毫不遜色，一會說句「MayIhelpyou？」，一會兒說句「WhatcanIdoforyou？」，沒一會兒，冷清的生意便做得紅紅火火的。快到交接上下班時，一位語文老師來到我班一個攤位，說想找一個翻譯幫她買東西，可現在所有的翻譯早都忙得脫不出身來招待，眼看到嘴的「肥肉」就要走了，我只好自告奮勇來當翻譯，這位老師也答應了，就這樣她一句中文，我一句英文的，雖然翻譯得有點吃力，但這么好一個機會展示自己，何不試試，善有善報，那個老師買完東西後送給我一包魷魚絲。

「啊！終於可以出去逛逛了。」剛換完上下班的我興奮的說道。剛才一本正經的我現像變成了一個「無業遊民」一樣，東逛逛西逛逛。

「終於找到好東西了！」我高興地說，這是什麼好東西？當然是對面攤位上的糖果了！我走了過去，攤位上的服務員立刻問道：「MayIhelpyou？」，我聽後指了指桌面上的糖果說：「Yes，howmucharethesweets？」，服務員回答道：「fiftyfen！」我聽後心中大喜，才五角，買！可正想給錢時，班主任李老師卻大聲說道：「回班了！」，我只好收起錢回到我班攤位搬椅子和桌子回班。

回到班上，班主任激動地說「這次活動很順利，全部東西都賣出去了，所以獎勵大家一人一根棒棒糖！」全班響起了轟然的歡呼聲。

放學後，我心中充滿了喜悅，不僅因為獲得了獎勵，更是為自己的出色表現！雖然沒買到東西，但卻學會了如何用英語購物和交流！
